Expert speakers from the Transportation and Hospitality industries as well as UK government officials will address opportunities, challenges and updates on the various aspects of (international) business and leisure travel for now as well as in the foreseeable future.

Lots of uncertainties and confusion – how will a “post”-COVID-19 era look like travel-wise.

  • Vaccinations rates are improving rapidly in the US and the UK, but there are hurdles and other regions are still in lockdown.
  • What are the rules and restrictions for both business and leisure travellers coming to the US? What will change and when? Do I need a vaccination passport?
  • What have airports, hotels and airlines put in place to make travel safe and convenient? What is next?

Ian Chyun is an international commercial aviation professional with 15 years of experience working for airports and global airlines in the United States, Latin America, and Europe.  In his current role, he is responsible for growing new and expanded air service to Reagan National Airport and Dulles International Airport for airlines in the oneworld and SkyTeam alliances.  Prior to working at MWAA, Ian spent 9 years working in Sales & Marketing for the Lufthansa Group Airlines based in Washington, DC.

He has a BA in Economics and History from Colby College in Waterville, Maine.

Derrick currently manages the strategic relationship with the U.S. Government for British Airways and Iberia Airlines. He also manages strategic relationships with corporations throughout the U.S. Northeast Corridor. Derrick has held multiple sales and sales management roles within British Airways throughout a 25-year career including Regional Sales Director for the South US. He earned a B.A. in Political Science from UNC-Chapel Hill and an M.B.A. from the University of Reading in the U.K. Derrick is happily married and has twin girls.

Mark Huntley was appointed general manager and regional vice president of Fairmont Washington, D.C., Georgetown in July 2017. A seasoned hotelier, Huntley’s regional responsibilities for overall operations, performance and strategic direction include that of Fairmont Washington, D.C., Georgetown, Fairmont Pittsburgh, Novotel Miami Brickell, Fairmont El San Juan Hotel  and Sofitel Washington, DC Lafayette Square. He has held the position of regional vice president & general manager of The Savoy in London and briefly served as executive vice president of MGM Grand Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas before returning to Fairmont in 2007.

Nick Woodbridge Nicholas Woodbridge - First Secretary, Transportation Policy, British Embassy, Washington DC

Nick Woodbridge is the UK government lead on all transportation policy and regulatory issues in the US – including: security, aviation, maritime, land, infrastructure, environment, commercial space, drones, new technologies and COP26.
A Diplomatic role as UK Government’s lead on transportation and infrastructure in the USA. Directed UK’s transport policy and regulatory work across the entire USA. Lead on the UK’s relationship with US regulators and built expertise in US best practice to provide effective guidance to the development and content of UK’s regulatory process.
Previously before moving to Washington, Nick had spent 7 years in the Department for Transport working on a number of policy areas including funding the £5.8bn project introducing new electric traction technologies to UK railways.
